On Her Majesty's Secret Service: James Bond's Holiday Film With Music By John Barry & Louie Armstrong
As I've noted here before, I like to watch old familiar Christmas films during the holiday season.
One of the classic films I watch every year is not usually connected to Christmas, but On Her Majesty's Secret Service came out at Christmas time in 1969, the film takes place in a Switzerland winter wonderland, and there is a touching and tragic love story.
Although the film lacks the great Sean Connery as James Bond, George Lazenby is a passable Bond, considering that he never acted before this, and Diana Rigg is wonderful as the love of Bond's life.
Telly Savalas is also good and mad as Blofeld and Peter Hunt directed one of the best of the Bond series, in my view.
