Freedom's Safest Place: NRA Produces Inspiring Videos Featuring Former Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell, Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clark And Marine Lt Col Oliver North

The website americas1stfreedom.org offers a piece about the National Rifle Association's (NRA) series of inspiring videos that feature Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke (seen in the above photo), former Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell and Marine Lt Col Oliver North.

When it comes to American warriors, few are more front-and-center than veteran Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell, Lt Col Oliver North and Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke. In the new “Freedom’s Safest Place” videos, Luttrell, North and Clarke weigh in on aspects of freedom they consider critical right now.

....“The young Americans who raised their hands to fight radical Islamic terror deserve a commander-in-chief as courageous as they are,” North says. “They volunteered to fight an enemy you won’t name … and many gave their limbs and lives to win ground you surrendered. No previous generation of American soldiers, sailors, airmen, guardsmen or Marines have been sent into harm’s way by political leaders so unwilling to define what matters most: victory!”

North concludes by detailing the kind of president Americans must elect next November.
“These are my heroes, willing to fight and die for my freedom,” he says. “And I demand a commander-in-chief worthy of such sacrifice. I’m the National Rifle Association of America. And I’m freedom’s safest place.”
... Sheriff Clarke, a strong Second Amendment advocate, addresses those Americans who have become overly critical of—even antagonistic toward—our nation’s law-enforcement personnel in a spot titled “My Honor.”
“You critics don’t define our honor,” Clarke says. “You try to shame us for doing our job. You teach children to fear us, crowds to attack us and good people to doubt us. But we will never back down from our sworn duty to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America.”
Clarke adds that it is the American law-enforcement officer who wakes up every day, straps on a gun and goes into the mean streets to protect and serve all citizens.
“We are Americans, and we are the American police officer,” he says. “We stand with the National Rifle Association of America, and the NRA stands with us. Together, we’re freedom’s safest place.”

Good Shoot: Time On The Firing Range:

I went to a firing range in South Philadelphia yesterday with my stepson.

We fired the handguns we own, including my Beretta 8000 Cougar (seen in the above photo).

My stepson, a boy I helped raise since he was 10-years-old, is an adult now and it made me proud to see him so proficient in firearms, as well as safety.

I'm military trained and I later passed that training on to my stepson as a boy. I taught him how to shoot and I taught him gun safety.

Today that boy is an adult and a far better shot than I am.

A gun is a defensive weapon in the hands of law-abiding citizens. Like a power saw or lawn mower, a firearm is simply a tool. A tool that can keep you and your family safe and secure.

Why Americans Won't Give Up Their Guns: Mother Of Two Surprises Intruder With Five Gunshots

Christian Boone at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports on a Georgia mother who protected herself and her children from an intruder by shooting him five times.

The Loganville mother of two assumed the knocks on her front door Friday afternoon were from a solicitor.

“Don’t answer,” she yelled to her 9-year-old twins playing downstairs.

When the visitor began repeatedly ringing the doorbell, she called her husband at work.

“Get the kids and hide,” he told his wife.

As he dialed 911, his 37-year-old spouse, who works from home, collected the children and hid with them in a crawlspace adjoining her office. By that time, the intruder had forced his way into the three-story residence on Henderson Ridge Drive with a crowbar, authorities said. He allegedly rummaged through the home, eventually working his way up to the attic office.

“He opens the closet door and finds himself staring down the barrel of a .38 revolver,” said Walton County Sheriff Joe Chapman, who relayed the woman’s narrative to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
