Happy Birthday To The United States Navy: On Watch 24/7 For 247 Years

I'm proud to have served in the Unites States Navy in the early 1970s. I served two years on the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk during the Vietnam War.

I later served two years on the Navy harbor tugboat USS Saugus at the nuclear submarine base in Holy Loch, Scotland.  

My late father, Edward Miller Davis, served in the U.S. Navy before me. He was a chief and a UDT frogman in the Pacific during WWII. (He's in the center of the below photo).
