A Little Humor: The Rabbi's Advice

A distraught man visited his Rabbi.

“Rabbi, something terrible is happening and I have to talk to you about it.”

The Rabbi asked, “What’s wrong?”

“My wife is poisoning me,” the man replied.

The Rabbi, shocked by this, asked, “Are you quite sure of this?”

“I’m telling you, I’m certain she’s poisoning me. What should I do?”

“Let me talk to her,” the Rabbi said. “I’ll see what I can find out and I’ll let you know.”

A week later, the Rabbi called the man and said, “I spoke to your wife on the phone for three hours. Do you want my advice?”

“Yes, Rabbi, what should I do?”

“Take the poison.”

On a similar note, a woman once told the late, great Winston Churchill (seen in the above photo) that he was a horrible man and she if she was his wife, she would poison him.

To which, Mr. Churchill reportedly replied, “Madame, if you were my wife, I would drink the poison.
