Robert Conrad, TV Tough Guy, Dies At 84


Robert Conrad, a TV tough guy actor, died. He was 84.

Robert Conrad is best known for The Wild, Wild West, a TV show I didn't much care for, but I was a huge fan of his later TV show, Baa, Baa, Black Sheep.

In Baa Baa Black Sheep he portrayed real-life WWII Marine Corps pilot and Medal of Honor winner Major Gregory "Pappy" Boyington, the commanding officer of the Black Sheep Squadron.


He was also very good as the mountain man Pasquinel in the TV mini-series Centennial.
