On This Day In History Jonathan Pollard Was Arrested For Spying For Isreal
As History.com notes, on this day in 1985, called "The Year of the Spy," U.S. naval intelligence analyst Jonathan Pollard was arrested for spying for Israel.

Note: History.com states that Pollard is in prison, but he has in fact been released.

I have mixed feelings about spies ever being released from prison. Pollard? I'm conflicted. But I don't know enough about the case to have an informed and sensible POV. John Walker? Never release!

As for John Walker, he was, in a way, released from federal prison. He died.
